Cabinetry Cleaning and Care
- Wood finishes
- Dust frequently with a soft, lint-free cloth. A slightly damp cloth is fine as well.
- Clean spills and splatters immediately using a clean cloth and a mild detergent. Wipe it dry.
- Polish your cabinets at least twice a year after a thorough cleaning using a light coat of quality furniture polish.
- DON'T use detergents, soap pads or steel wool on your finishes. You run a distinct risk of damaging to wood.
- AVOID paste waxes or products that contain silicone as these tend to attract more dust.
- Laminate
- Clean frequently with a clean, soft cloth.
- Remove tough stains using a mild detergent.
- Glass doors
- Use any commercial glass cleaner.
- Glass generally does not require removal from the casing to clean.
- Spray cleanser onto a clean, soft cloth rather than spraying directly onto the glass. This will protect the surrounding wood finishes.
